The main tasks of the library are to compile, preserve, and provide access to the necessary literature for study purposes, as well as to offer information about the Riksweb electronic catalog of books. The library of the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary collaborates with other similar libraries both domestically and internationally.

Library collection: 16875 books, 1402 periodical publications, 157 manuscripts, and theses, including master's and doctoral theses by staff members. The compilation of materials is based on the register of subjects taught at BMTS.
There are four selection levels for acquiring materials:
- basic information level, which introduces and defines subject areas
- level supporting teaching and guidance
- level supporting scientific research
- level dedicated to the life and works of John Wesley. This unique level is accessible in Estonia only at the library of the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary.
The majority of the rare books in the library are Bibles.
