COURSE CONTENT

God's sovereignty: The works of Isaiah show God's absolute sovereignty over history. God is able to use even the evil deeds of men to fulfil his plans, which reveals his goodness and justice.
The role and responsibility of the prophet: Isaiah, as a prophet, is not just a messenger, but also a moral and spiritual leader who calls his people to turn back to God, even when they have lost their way.
Hope and redemption: The hope of Isaiah's message, which is directed towards the future, is addressed. Even in the darkest of times, God's promise of redemption and restoration is a central theme in Isaiah.
The cultural context: Analyses how Isaiah's message reflects the cultural and political circumstances of his time, including the Assyrian and Babylonian threat, and how these situations influence the prophetic message.
God's trustworthiness: The book stresses that even in the most difficult times, God is trustworthy and his promises are sure. There is a call to trust God even when situations seem hopeless. Trust God even when things seem to be impossible.
