PARTICIPANTS
For all interested in preaching. Theoretical and practical learning for experienced preachers as well as beginners.
LANGUAGE
The training will be in Estonian, with translation into English and Russian.
GOALS OF THE COURSE
During the course we
- review the basics of communication theory
- learn to write a sermon following 6 simple steps
- obtain practical tips for effective public speaking.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the course the participant
- has an overview of the principles of preaching and public speaking
- can use a variety of preaching aids - personal testimony, stories, items, etc.
- understands the importance of preparation, and can manage the process of creating a structured sermon
- is aware of different preaching styles and schools
- is aware of typical mistakes and knows how to avoid or overcome them
- has received useful tips on how to better engage listeners and encouragement for future preaching.
