On Saturday, June 15th, the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary (BMTS) marked its 30th anniversary with a significant conference that drew attendees from around the world.
The conference featured notable speakers who celebrated the seminary's rich history and contributions.
The event began with an address by Acting Rector Taavi Hollman, providing a retrospective on BMTS's history from its founding in 1994 to 2024. Rev. Dr. Jody Ray, Senior Pastor of Mt Bethel Methodist Church in Atlanta, USA, delivered an engaging lecture on "Challenges of Theological Education Today and in the Near Future," highlighting the evolving landscape of theological studies and its future direction.
In addition to the keynote lecture, attendees were inspired by stories from the seminary's alumni, underscoring the institution's impact over the past three decades. The event also marked the conclusion of the first season of "Kasvulava," the EMK youth leaders' spiritual growth course, celebrating the development of the next generation of leaders.
The conference concluded with a festive lunch, where guests, supporters, conference participants, and members of the Board of Trustees gathered to network and reflect on the day's insights.
