Dear education enthusiast and fellow student! We are pleased to announce that starting in the fall of 2026, the range of study options at BMTS will expand even further!

In addition to our comprehensive bachelor’s programs, you can now choose a shorter study format tailored precisely to your needs—we are launching three micro-degree programs.

A micro-degree is an excellent opportunity to acquire specific theological or practical skills flexibly and quickly—each micro-degree can be completed in one academic year. This is ideal for those who wish to delve into a specific field alongside their work or church ministry.

Choose the one that suits you:

1. Bible and Theology (22 ECTS)

  • Who is it for? Those who wish to build a strong foundation in understanding Scripture.
  • Objective: To provide students with deeper and more systematic knowledge of the Bible and Christian theology. The curriculum develops the ability to interpret and analyze Scripture in a historically, theologically, and practically grounded manner.

2. Christian Ministry (19 ECTS)

  • Who is it for? Church workers, volunteers, and anyone who wishes to serve people in a practical way.
  • Objective: The course teaches how to serve people and congregations and to participate in spiritually mature ministry in various contexts. Students acquire foundational knowledge and practical skills based on biblical principles.

3. Methodist Identity, History, and Church Order (14 ECTS)

  • Who is it for? Applicants for Methodist diaconal ordination.
  • Objective: To provide the necessary knowledge and practical skills for responsible participation and leadership in Methodist worship, church governance, and congregational work within the context of a local congregation.

Courses completed as part of the micro-degree can be transferred to a bachelor’s program upon request. This way, when you continue your studies later, you will have already successfully completed part of the curriculum.
